I’m juggling vocal and bass duties for this gig for the first time ever. I might mess up so it’d be fun if you were there.
Also it’s the Yeah Go’s’ first gig in a really long time! And my current favorite local act The Dead Quiet will be playing! Let’s go

It’s a bit too early for me to be posting this but whatever, I’m excited about it. First gig of the summer. Second time we’re going to be opening for a South East Asian band. We’re also going to be playing a new song with a special guest piano player (yeah, piano. something we’ve never done), and our former bassist will be playing guitar with us.
Best thing about it by far is that we’ll be playing at Route 196. That’s place is like my homecourt since I live so near it. By far my favorite gig venue. I’ve had so many good memories of watching gigs and meeting people there. It’s almost poetic that it’s the last place my band hasn’t performed at out of the 3 big bar gig venues in Manila (Route, B-Side, and Saguijo).

I am so stoked for thissss

NOTHING TO DO?
Shelley Silverstein
Nothing to do?
Nothing to do?
Put some mustard in your shoe,
Fill your pockets full of soot,
Drive a nail into your foot,
Put some sugar in your hair,
Place your toys upon the stair,
Smear some jelly on the latch,
Eat some mud and strike a match,
Draw a picture on the wall,
Roll some marbles down the hall,
Pour some ink in daddy’s cap –
Now go upstairs and take a nap.

Beastly Boys and Ghastly Girls, 1964.

I’ve decided to build a new habit of singing this poem in different nursery rhyme tunes every time I have nothing to do.
